Turtle Rock is really a series of Boulder like structures piled on to each other 200 feet tall. It reminds me of when Turtles are competing for Log space in a Pond, so they can sun tan their necks, pile on top of each other. The Rock area is about a Mile in Diameter and has Creeks that frame it with Beaver Ponds. There are Aspens and Pine that blanket the area around the Turtle Rock structure. Its a nice easy grade to hike. There are plentiful Day use spots and a large camp ground. Its just off I-80 between Cheyenne and Laramie Wyoming.

The shade of the trees made it a cooler hike than other places in the area. The afternoon Humidity storm ended our day.
