We were ready to walk around the City park lake and we saw the Mountains in the distance. They called us and we drove to and hiked around the Mountains.

The tall tandem of Long and Meeker Mountains Loom over this part of the country. They are dusted with snow over 9500 feet in elevation. The crack and Glacier on Long's peak dominate the up close view.

The St Vrain Creek/River rushes down from Mt. Meeker. I took several pictures with my large lens without a whole lot of success. The Spring snow melt is under way. The Forrest pictures did not turn out great either. I should have changed lens. I got a couple good wild flowers. A great Butterfly picture is included. A different sub specifies of Robin is included.

Deer and squirrels made leaving the big lens on worth it. The Squirrels were fighting before I took the picture. The Deer were unafraid as they are in a National Park.
